This brushless small cordless angle grinder requires no time changing brushes, and offers a longer motor life. DEWALT cordless grinder offers a high level of protection. Its break stops the wheel in 2 seconds or less. The Kickback Break engages maximum force to stop the wheel when there is a pinch, stall, or bind-up to reduce kickback. The grinder will also shut off in those events to further protect the user. Battery and charger are sold separately.
Brushless motor of the angle grinder requires no brush changes.
DEWALT grinder's brake stops wheel in 2 seconds or less on average
Kickback Brake engages when a pinch, stall, or bind-up event is sensed and the electronic brake engages with maximum force to quickly stop the wheel, reduce the movement of the metal grinder and shut the grinder off.
Features E-Switch Protection - When the ON/OFF trigger switch has a no-volt release function. In the event of a power outage or other unexpected shut down, the trigger switch will need to be cycled (turned off and then on) to restart tool.
Two stage trigger requires two actions to activate tool.

Title: Great tool with no cord!
Review: I've used corded angle grinders for many years and I never expected a cordless angle grinder to be worthwhile. I was pleasantly surprised that this angle grinder works amazingly well. With steady use, the battery will discharge after several minutes, so it's helpful to have a second battery on standby. However, for most standard applications it's worth not dealing with a cord getting in the way. This has plenty of power to work as expected.

Title: Great little grinder!
Review: I use these at work cutting rebar, with a wire wheel, and with a concrete grinding wheel on a daily basis. It’s a well-designed grinder that cuts and grinds very well. We have several, and they have all been in use for years, now. They are easily assembled, and switching blades and wheels is easy. Very durable grinder I used for years, and now I have my own.

Title: Great tool. Terrible Battery Life!
Review: I love DeWalt tools. I really do. I think almost every tool I own is a DeWalt. And this is a really good grinder. I wasn't even that irritated that it didn't come with a battery or any blades, because the 20v batteries are so interchangeable. The only issue I have is the extremely short battery life! And I do mean SHORT. A fully charged short pack gives you about 5 minutes of use on this thing. Switched it to the thick pack that I use on my chainsaw and that bumped it up to about 15 minutes or use. If you are a contractor or something other than a home improvement DIY'er, this thing would be a serious disappointment! Everything else about it, I love. The grip, the weight... But man, it sucks the life out of a battery!

Review: Apesar da ferramenta ser profissional não recomendo para uma serralheria. Pois consome muito bateria. Mas para quem usa para soldar um pouco daqui a pouco usa pra cortar um cano ou sabe se lá oq. É muito versátil a potência e excelente e a praticidade de não ter bateria e ótima. Mas é necessária bastante bateria no mínimo 2 de 4ah e para uso constante não dá tempo de carregar uma enquanto usa a outra. Acredito que em uso sem desligar dure uns 20, 25 min.

Review: Excellente meuleuse Dewalt, très bien balancée et surprenamment légère pour la puissance qu’elle offre. Le frein de sécurité (kickback brake) fonctionne parfaitement et ajoute une belle tranquillité d’esprit. J’aime beaucoup la gâchette à deux étapes, ça évite les départs accidentels. Une vraie bête pour le métal, le bois ou même la pierre !
