The position as Senior Controller is an independent hands-on role, reporting to the company’s Finance Director. Hystar offers professional challenges, personal growth, and a positive atmosphere with dedicated colleagues.Role Objectives:

• Ensure accurate accounting in compliance with standards and regulations. Hystar’s accounts are maintained according to IFRS.
• Report high-quality figures on-time, monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Contribute to Hystar achieving financial goals through proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities:

• Hystar accounts and pay-roll. Oversee and support the external accounting and pay-roll team.
• Provide financial updates to Finance Director and other stakeholders by evaluating, analysing, and reporting relevant data points. Maintain and develop data sets and templates for reporting.
• Maintain consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures. Further development of the company’s financial policies and procedures.
• Ensure correct accounting and reporting internally on Hystar’s public funded projects.
• Create the annual accounts and notes.
• Possibility for central role in budgeting and forecasting procedures.
• Lead future Hystar subsidiaries’ accounts and pay-roll, as Hystar grows internationally.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Two or more years of experience in senior-level roles such as auditor, accounting manager, or finance manager, preferably with expertise in IFRS.
• Highly proficient in Excel with advanced skills.
• Experienced with soft funding (Skattefunn or Enova) from government authorities.
• Working knowledge of tax regulations and experience in compliance reporting.
• Demonstrated track record of successful financial project management in a well-run accounting department.
• Structured, curious and hands-on approach.
• Positive and serviceminded.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in auditing, accounting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Tripletex and Microsoft Business Central (Dynamics).
• Experience in payroll management.
